If your teeth are stained, misshaped, spaced widely or slightly crooked, veneers may be the solution. Veneers have gained popularity among our patients due to widely successful appearance and makeover programs, but also for their quick, successful and aesthetically pleasing results.
Veneers can be used to:
- Straighten Crooked Teeth
- Close gaps in teeth
- Whiten dark, yellow, permanently stained or discoloured teeth
- Repair broken or chipped teeth
- Enhance your overall smile, making you feel younger and more confident
Veneers are custom porcelain facings that are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. They are made to match the shape and size of your mouth and created at the whiteness level that you desire.
The procedure generally takes two visits, one for the preparation and one for the placement of the veneers.
To perform the procedure, the thickness of the veneer is "smoothed" off of the natural tooth surface allowing the veneer to fit naturally rather than in addition to the tooth. Molds are taken of your teeth to ensure that the veneer will fit properly. The veneers are then created for you in a specialized lab.
On your return visit the veneers are bonded to the teeth, covering the problem that inspired you to inquire about veneers. The result will feel and look natural, and will bring out your smile.
